im slowly starting to get the hang of pencils. i was going to bring home my wacom from the office this weekend, but i forgot! but it turned out better... i got to bond with my pencil and my pad. and just a month ago, i totally despised pencils too!

*snif* give peace a chance. all that im saying.... is give peace a chance.

pencil sketch: 10 minutes with a 3B steadler pencil and er, regular sketch pad paper
colors: about half an hour with PSCS and a wacom tablet

It's gorgeous - the hair is a real triumph I think - certainly one of my favorite parts at least - natty character design too! ^__^

You know, pencils have a sort of warmth that digital lineart more often than not does not have.

I like this piece a lot. The thing I find the best about it is the hair. It looks as if you put the colors right there under the pencil lines. The face is adorable, and it combines a lot of different elements. I don't particularly care for those horn-rims now-a-days but they look really right on her. Excellent work! I'm definately impressed!
